Anti-Slavery We enforce anti-slavery among our people because we allow them to be paid minimum wage. Most importantly we believe in popular sovereignty. Our citizens have the right to choose and decide what they want
Our town’s support We support the underground railroad act, due to our anti-slavery laws. We do not support the Fugitive Slave act because we believe it is wrong to have slaves. In situations like that of Dread Scott we we support his decision and his journey to freedom.
Geography Our town is based on a southern economy and we rely on farming and keeping up on with plantations. We will trade with other town’s and keep a strong relationship with neighboring cities.
Women’s Right’s We feel that women should have equal rights as men. In our city women are allowed to vote, get jobs, own property, and get an education. Women can be just as successful as men in our town “Remember God made everyone out of his image.” -Dominic and Anthony
Government We are a democratic city, and believe in equal laws and in anti-slavery. Our government supports the Seneca Falls Convention. We are currently in the process of building our own convention based on helping runaway slaves.
Conclusion Thanks for your time and consideration. We hope you come visit Emporia! Sincerely, Dominic, Anthony, and Noah
