To design a concept for a given design
brief, and deliver a detailed presentation
about your concept.
You only have until 10:15 to complete your
research and concept.
3. Design Task 1
Olympic Medals
To design a suitably designed medal for each sport. This should
reflect the sport, London and British Culture.
You may wish to design:
• A model out of paper/card to show what the medals would look
like.
•A mood board or imagery to focus your thinking and designing
•A large sheet of design ideas
4. Design Task 2
Olympic Stamps or Coins
To celebrate the upcoming Olympics, the government has
decided to commission the design of a special coin and stamps.
Design either a coin or stamp which can be manufactured to
celebrate the Olympics.
You may wish to design:
• A model out of paper/card to show what the coins or stamps
would look like.
•A mood board or imagery to focus your thinking and designing
•A large sheet of design ideas with a range of concepts
5. Design Task 2
Olympic Torch
It is tradition for the Olympic stadium to have a large version of
an Olympic torch, which will burn throughout the games. Design
a torch which will fit into the theme of the stadium.
You may wish to design:
•A mood board or imagery to focus your thinking and designing
•A large sheet of design ideas
•Detailed drawing of what the torch would look like.
