2. With the sound of the power station in his ears, Sam-Bob
stomped over the crunchy snow, with his hat scarf and gloves
on. Icy cold air engulfed his body as a shiver jumped down his
spine. Singing merrily, the birds tweeted a tune whilst
endeavouring to recover warmth. Sam-Bobs thought flashed to
his cosy home with a pristine fire. “I think I should turn back.” he
thought. Doubting himself he embarked on his usual walk with a
picturesque view of the pile –ons. Acrid smoke flew out of the
huge pile-ons as something caught his eye. He walked on
hoping he was seeing things- the edge of the cliff had gone. The
edge was approached by Sam-Bob when a strange noise came
from the sky. Something was falling…
3. Sky high, the long figure dangled from the colossal place above, the
red rope with a gold tassel attached, cried out: “Pull me, pull me!”
Apprehensively, he tugged the swaying rope. ON, OFF. Out of the
blue, it went dark then bright. As he pulled it again, strange sounds
came from the distance. What had he done? He thought: “What
shall I do with this, this is fun!” The next thing he was doing was
dancing and pulling it countless times. ON, OFF, ON , OFF, ON!
Although he enjoyed messing about, he was unaware of what the
noises where when the sun had been turned off. Without a care in
the world, he pulled it a number of times. All of a sudden, he pulled
it. OFF, OFF, OFF, OFF. For an unknown reason it wouldn’t turn on.
With nerves kicking in, he started to breath heavily, with the taste of
fear filling him.
4. He pulled it with all his might but the light wouldn’t be restored, he
tried everything as he heard unusual noises in the background. Cold
air made him shiver as he recognised what he had done. He had
been given the power of God; he overused this privilege. It had all
gone wrong. As he pulled the rope as hard as he could, it began to
thud on the floor. It was falling. As it fell to the ground, he saw
another gold thing attached but this time it wasn’t a tassel, it looked
like a bucket. It wasn’t all shiny gold because he saw a thin piece of
paper about to fly away. He moved the heap of red rope and
grabbed the paper with a picture of a car on it, it read: ‘You have
done something terribly wrong, terribly wrong…!’
