2. 1. Tevar
Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha have been paired opposite each
other in Tevar, helmed by Amit Sharma. Jointly produced by
Kapoor brothers – Boney and Sanjay, Tevar is a remake of
Gunasekhar’s 2003 Telugu flick, Okkadu, which starred Mahesh
Babu and Bhoomika Chawla in lead roles. Also starring Manoj
Bajpai in a pivotal part, the film will release on 9th January 2015.
3. 2. MSG : The Messenger Of
God
The movie is is all set to release on January 16, 2015. MSG is an
entertainer with catchy music and an underlying message, reveals
an insider. Said to be about instilling self-confidence with
spirituality, it combines high-voltage action, melodrama and
suspense, delivering the punch without getting preachy.
4. 3. Baby
The film’s growing popularity on social media platforms has already
fetched it a lot of fame. The film will have Akshay Kumar in the lead role.
Model-turned-actress, Madhurima Tuli, has been finalised to play
Akshay’s wife in the film. Jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan
Kumar and Cape of Good Films & Crouching Tiger, Baby is helmed by
Neeraj Pandey. The film, also starring Anupam Kher and Taapsee Pannu,
is set to release on 23rd January 2015.
5. 4. Dolly Ki Doli
Sonam Kapoor plays a con-bride in the rom-com. Abhishek Dogra
has directed the film. The comedy also stars Pulkit Samrat,
Rajkummar Rao, Varun Sharma and Rajpal Yadav in principal roles.
Saif Ali Khan has a special appearance in the film, whereas Malaika
Arora Khan will groove to an item number, Fashion Khatam Mujh
Par. Dolly Ki Doli is scheduled for release on 23rd February 2015.
6. 5. Shamitabh
Amitabh Bachchan’s Shamitabh is in headlines for its title and
Bachchan’s looks in the flick. Directed by first-class filmmaker R
Balki, the film stars Amitabh in the leading role, along with the
South sensation Dhanush and veteran actor Kamal Haasan’s
younger daughter, Akshara, in important roles. The actress debuts
in Bollywood with the drama. Shamitabh will release on 6th
February 2015.
7. 6. Roy
Vikramjit Singh’s Roy stars Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline
Fernandez in principal roles. While Arjun plays a director in it, Ranbir
essays the role of a thief who is known for pulling off some of the biggest
heists. Roy is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar,
Krishan Kumar and Freeway Pictures. The romantic thriller will release on
13th February 2015.
8. 7. Gabbar
Akshay Kumar plays the male lead in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gabbar. Also
starring Shruti Haasan, Prakash Raj, Sonu Sood, Nikitin Dheer and Govind
Namdev, the action drama will open in cinema-halls on 3rd April 2015.
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Chitrangada Singh are in special appearances in
the film.
9. 8. Phantom
Akshay’s Gabbar will have a box-office clash with Saif Ali Khan’s Phantom,
as both the flicks will release on 3rd April 2015. Kabir Khan’s counter-
terrorism drama, Phantom, stars Katrina Kaif as Saif’s leading lady.
Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film revolves around the post-26/11
attacks in Mumbai and global terrorism. Reportedly, Saif has learnt
Kurdish for his role in the film.
10. 9. Detective Byomkesh Bakshi
Dibakar Banerjee’s Detective Byomkesh Bakshi has fine actor Sushant
Singh Rajput in title role. The crime thriller, co-produced by Banerjee and
Aditya Chopra, Anand Tiwari and Swastika Mukherjee. The film is slated
to release on 10th April 2015.
11. 10. Piku
Shoojit Sircar’s next, Piku, stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone,
Irrfan Khan and Moushumi Chatterjee in lead roles. Deepika plays
Amitabh’s daughter in it. It is learnt that Amitabh is playing a taxi stand
owner in the film. Piku is slated to release on 30th April 2015.
12. 11. Bombay Velvet
Bombay Velvet is directed and co-produced by Anurag Kashyap. Ranbir
Kapoor plays the film’s leading man and Anushka Sharma is his love
interest. Filmmaker KJo plays his first ever negative role in the drama.
Raveena Tandon, Kay Kay Menon and Siddharth Basu are in supporting
roles. Bombay Velvet will release on 15th May 2015.
13. 12. Welcome Back
Dibakar Banerjee’s Detective Byomkesh Bakshi has fine actor Sushant
Singh Rajput in title role. The crime thriller, co-produced by Banerjee and
Aditya Chopra, Anand Tiwari and Swastika Mukherjee. The film is slated
to release on 10th April 2015.
14. 13. Dil Dhadakne Do
Anees Bazmee’s upcoming film, Welcome Back, a sequel to his 2007
comedy, star Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, John Abraham, Paresh Rawal,
Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia, Shiney Ahuja, Surveen Chawla, and
Shruti Haasan in principal roles. The film will release on 29th May 2015.
15. 14. Hamari Adhuri Kahani
Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi will romance each other on the big
screens in Mohit Suri’s love drama. Produced by Mahesh Bhatt and
directed by Mohit Suri, Hamari Adhuri Kahani is scheduled to release on
12th June 2015.
16. 15. ABCD 2
Remo D’Souza’s ABCD: Any Body Can Dance 2, produced by Siddharth
Roy Kapur, will star Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles.
Also starring Prabhudheva, Lauren Gottlieb and Punit Pathak, the dance
film will release on 26th June 2015.
17. 16. Bajrangi Bhaijaan
Helmed by Kabir Khan, Bajrangi Bhaijaan stars Salman Khan and
Kareeena Kapoor Khan as its leading apir. Also starring Nawazuddin
Siddiqui, the film will have Anil Kapoor in a negative character. The film
will release on 16th July 2015.
18. 17. Brothers
Akshay Kumar’s Brothers is directed by Karan Malhotra, and co-produced
by Hiroo Yash Johar and Karan Johar. The film also stars Sidharth
Malhotra, Jacqueline Fernandez, Jackie Shroff and Undertaker. It is an
official remake of the 2011 Hollywood film, Warrior. Brothers will release
on 31st July 2015.
19. 18. Fan
Director Maneesh Sharma and producer Aditya Chopra’s Fan has Shah
Rukh Khan in double roles. It’s also been reported that Khan will get lovey-
dovey with two ladies in the film. Some rumours also suggest that one of
the leading ladies is Ileana D’Cruz, whereas there’s no confirmation on the
same. Fan is slated to release on 14th August 2015
20. 19. Jagga Jasoos
Ranbir Kapoor romances Katrina Kaif in Anurag Basu’s Jagga Jasoos. The
film, also featuring Govinda, will release on 28th August 2015.
21. 20. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo
Salman Khan has double roles in Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
Sonam Kapoor plays his leading lady in the film, which will release on 1st
November 2015. Anupam Kher, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Swara Bhaskar are
also in the family drama.
22. 21. Bajirao Mastani
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next magnum opus, Bajirao Mastani, has Ranveer
Singh as the male lead and Deepika Padukone as the leading lady, whereas
Priyanka Chopra also plays an important role in it. While Priyanka plays
Bajirao’s first wife, Kashibai, in the period romance, Deepika will be
essaying the role of Mastani in it. Bajirao Mastani is scheduled to release
on 25th December 2015.
23. 22. Tamasha
Imtiaz Ali’s romantic drama, Tamasha, will release on the same date as
Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani, i.e. on 25th December 2015. Tamasha stars
Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone as its leading pair.
24. 23. Fitoor
Like Bajirao Mastani and Tamasha, Abhishek Kapoor’s Fitoor too is
scheduled to release on 25th December 2015. The film, based on Charles
Dickens’ novel Great Expectations, stars Aditya Roy Kapoor, Katrina Kaif
and Rekha in principal roles.
