PRECIOUS METALS:
Precious metal prices are trade range bound for the day, after Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen
advocated lifting U.S. interest rates gradually. Gold came under pressure amid some profit taking after
recent rally. Gains in US dollar and bond yields amid upbeat US economic data and Fed’s monetary
tightening stance put pressure on gold price.
ENERGY:
Crude oil prices prices fell on Wednesday to their lowest in a week, on a strong dollar and expectations
that U.S. producers would boost output even as OPEC's output fell from a record high.
BASE METALS:
Copper will likely trade sideways today as investors will be cautious ahead of Trump’s inauguration
and crucial Chinese GDP and industrial production due tomorrow.
