This document outlines mold remediation procedures based on the size of the contaminated area. For small areas less than 10 square feet, the project manager and in-house personnel can proceed with cleanup using N-95 respirators and gloves at a minimum. For medium areas between 10-100 square feet, the remediation manager develops a work plan and inspects the site before in-house personnel begin cleanup. For large areas over 100 square feet, an outside environmental authority is suggested and corporate management approval is required due to the greater potential for remediator exposure.
