Vascular Surgery’s Annual Meetings

2. Introduction
• The president and founder of the Western Vascular Institute,
PLLC, Dr. Mitar Vranic also serves as the Medical Director of
its vascular cath lab educational program. Dr. Mitar Vranic is
a member of several industry-related organizations, including
the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and the
European Society for Vascular Surgery.
Established in 1987, the European Society for Vascular
Surgery (ESVS) remains dedicated to researching, preventing,
and addressing vascular disease through a number of
methods. With more than 2,000 members throughout the
world, ESVS sponsors an industry journal, hands-on and
virtual training, and grants for both research and educational
travel.

3. European Society for Vascular Surgery
• ESVS holds an annual meeting, which is held for three
days each fall and focuses on advancements in vascular
clinical practice and research, along with news of
updates in industry techniques and technology. The
event also features an international panel of experts,
member peer-reviewed presentations, and a range of
training workshops for attendees.
The 2015 meeting, scheduled for September 23-25 in
Porto, Portugal, will provide workshops on endovascular
surgery with below-the-knee interventions and issues of
vascular trauma and complex aneurysms.
