As a profession, economists have lost sight and connection with ordinary human beings. How else can you explain extended quantitative easing, across the globe, and its utter failure to stimulate the real economy? If a picture is worth a thousand words, then perhaps a collection of colorful and carefully annotated charts can bring more people into conversation about fiscal and monetary policy and how it impacts their lives. More than ever, we need everybody thinking about working together to solve our greatest challenges. We can do this.
