5. · Schools in Catalonia are mixed. Boys and girls are in the same class and they do the
same activities.
· All the subjects are equal in all the schools (the same law of education makes it).
· We take Catalan classes.
· Education of Catalonia depends on its government La Generalitat.
· Three types of schools:
·Public school
·Private school
·”Concertada”

And also the optional education (3-6 and 16-18)
· Is lay and free.
· Criterion of admission include:

- the proximity of the center.
- the presence of other brothers or sisters in the center.

·Managed by a juridical person.
·They support an ideology.
· Private schools that achieve a subsidy by public
funds.
· They follow certain rules of the Department of
Education.
· Most of them are governed by religious people.
