The Peloponnesian War
The Start of the War 431-404 B.C. The Peloponnesian War was an Ancient Greece Conflict between the Athenians and the Peloponnesian League which was led by the Spartans. SPARTANS ATHENIANS VS.
Who were the Athenians? People who strived for excellence no matter what the challenge was. Believed in the philosophy “Know thyself” and “Nothing in Excess” which was found in the shrine of Delphi. They loved the Olympics!
Who were the Spartans? Sparta was a militaristic city-state. 80% of the Spartan population consisted of Helots.
An end to a War The war was divided into three parts The Archdamian War The Sicilian War The Ionian/Decelean War. The war ended in April of 404 B.C. when the Athenians surrendered.
