2. South Africa has three capital cities, with the executive, judicial and
legislative branches of government based in Pretoria, Bloemfontein,

4. The park lies in the north-east of South Africa, in
the eastern parts of Limpopo and Mpumalanga
provinces. Phalaborwa, Limpopo is the only
town in South Africa that borders the Kruger
National Park. It is one of the largest national
parks in the world, with an area of 19,485 km.
All of Africa's iconic safari species – elephant,
lion, leopard, cheetah, rhino, buffalo, giraffe,
hippo and zebra – thrive here. The Kruger
National Park is home to over 12,000 elephants,
27,000 African Buffalo, 2,000 leopards and
2,800 lions. It's also regarded as the best place
in the world to see a leopard.

14. V&A WATERFRONT
The Victoria & Alfred (V&A) Waterfront in Cape Town is situated on the
Atlantic shore, Table Bay Harbour, the City of Cape Town and Table
Mountain. Adrian van der Vyver designed the complex. Situated in South
Africa's oldest working harbour, the 123 hectares area has been
developed for mixed-use, with both residential and commercial real
estate. The V&A Waterfront is also still a working harbour and fishing boats
bring in fresh fish, and larger container ships are towed in by tugboats.
TABLE MOUNTAIN
Table Mountain is a flat-topped mountain forming a prominent
landmark overlooking the city of Cape Town in South Africa. The
mountain has 8,200 plant species, of which around 80% are fynbos,
meaning fine bush. The main feature of Table Mountain is the level
plateau approximately three kms from side to side, edged by steep
cliffs. The plateau, flanked by Devil's Peak to the east and by Lion's
Head to the west, forms a dramatic backdrop to Cape Town.

15. HOUT BAY
Hout Bay is a harbour town in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It
is situated in a valley on the Atlantic seaboard of the Cape Peninsula, twenty
kilometres south of Cape Town. Hout Bay’s beach is wide and flat. A 40-
minute cruise from Hout Bay harbour to Duiker Island the Seal Colony where
one can view thousands of wild Cape Fur Seals, close up in their beautiful
natural habitat.
CHAPMAN'S PEAK DRIVE
Chapman’s Peak Drive toll road winds its way between Noordhoek and Hout
Bay on the Atlantic Coast on the south-western tip of South Africa. This 5-mile
(9-kilometer) route cuts through the side of a mountain and offers spectacular
coastal views from lookout points. Chapman’s Peak Drive is one of the most
spectacular marine drives in the world. The drive has 114 curves and is often
regarded as the most rewarding toll road in the country. On one side you
have a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean and on the other the Western
Mountains of the Cape Peninsula.

16. CAPE PONT & CAPE OF GOOD HOPE
Cape Point is a promontory at the southeast corner of the Cape
Peninsula, a mountainous and scenic landform that runs north-south for
about thirty kilometres at the extreme southwestern tip of the African
continent in South Africa. The Flying Dutchman Funicular, also known
as the Cape Point Funicular, is a funicular railway located at Cape Point.
The line runs from a lower station at the Cape Point car park, up an
incline through dense fynbos to the upper lighthouse.
OSTRICH FARMS & RESERVES
South Africa was the first country in the world where ostrich farming
started on a commercial basis. South African ostrich products include
fresh and processed meat such as ostrich fillets, biltong and sausage,

17. BOULDERS BEACH PENGUIN COLONY
Boulders Beach is a sheltered beach made up of inlets between granite
boulders, from which the name originated. It is located on the Cape Peninsula,
in Simon's Town, a suburb of Cape Town in the Western Cape province of
South Africa. It is also commonly known as Boulders Bay. Here exists a
protected colony of African penguins which can be viewed in their natural
habitat via wooden walkways.
HELICOPTER RIDE
Nestled in a natural bowl beside the Atlantic, surrounded by sculptural mountains
and golden beaches, Cape Town is one city that really merits being seen from the

21. WOVEN BOWLS
Handwoven items are another popular souvenir, available as a wide
variety of items including bowls of all different sizes, as well as bags
and baskets for transport and storage. These items are traditionally
made from dried grass straw, with dyes applied in many vivid
colours. Beautiful patterns and motifs are created by the weavers, in
both traditional and modern designs.
HANDMADE DRUMS
Drums are a commonly used musical instrument in Kenya and while
visiting you will most likely encounter people performing and dancing
to the sound of the drums being played. A lot of handiwork goes into
crafting the entire drum including woodwork to form the drum shell
and stretching out animal hide to cover the top of the drum.

The beautiful and brightly coloured beadwork of Africa is world-
famous and very recognizable. Bead and wire animals, baobab trees,
birds, flowers and reptiles are just some of the bead & wirework

OSTRICH EGGS
If the ostrich eggshell is unbroken, it can be used in its natural state or
painted, engraved, embossed or varnished. These ostrich eggshell
products are used as decoration, lights, candle holders and also in
European floristry markets.

23. WOODEN COASTER SET
The coaster set has safari animal etchings of the Big Five animals in
Africa. The term “Big Five’’ refers to Africa’s most popular wildlife
which is the lion, leopard, Cape buffalo, African elephant, and

The country’s most popular herbal tea – Rooibos. Rooibos tea, often
called Red Bush tea, is harvested from a broom-like plant that grows
among South Africa’s fynbos. The tea is indigenous to South Africa and
only grows in the lush valleys of the Cederberg mountains in the
Western Cape. Rooibos tea offers a distinct, naturally crisp and earthy
flavor and is also caffeine-free and packed with antioxidants.
