The document describes 6 steps to apply lighting effects to an image in a photo editing software: 1) Insert an image, 2) Choose the lighting effects filter, 3) Select the spotlight light type, 4) Adjust the light position and angle by dragging handles to focus it on the center of a bench, 5) Stretch or rotate the light ellipse by dragging handles, and 6) Set the light intensity to 60% for brighter-than-normal lighting focused on the intended object.
5. Step 3- I adjusted the light. to make the light focus on the centre on the bench rather
than to the left or right.
To move the light, drag the centre circle
6. Step 4- to increase the light angle, drag the handle to shorten the line. To decrease the
light angle, drag to lengthen the line.
7. Step 5- to stretch the ellipse or rotate the light, drag one of the handles. Shift-drag to
keep the angle constant and change only the size of the ellipse. I wanted the light to be
focused on the centre of the bench, so that the focus is only on the intended object in
the photo.
8. Step 6- to set the light focus and control how much of an ellipse is filled with light, drag
the intensity slider. I set the lighting to 60, to create a brighter light than what would be
normal.
Full intensity =100
Normal = 50
No light= -100
