The owner of VIP Plastic Industry
Haji Pure Bazar, Gujranwala
Mr. Sheikh Message:
“Some people wantit to happen. Some people wish it to happen while others
tear down the walls of resistance and make it happen.”
Background of VIP Plastic Industry:
VIP Plastic industry was established in the year 1999.They are continuously
growing since 1999 to 2015 as from wholesalers to manufacturer in 2005 and
further growth plans are there. The main objective of the organization was not only
providing the cutlery but the happiness of being eating with grace by using
continuous value added plans. The main focus of Mr. Sheikh is to make business
with known name in the market. For this they rely on Good Credibility, steady
improvements in their products and remove flaws in the process. With these
business values he become design leader of market and wanted to keep the name of
VIP Plastic Industry at the top. Although several controversies have affected the
image of VIP plastic industry, but VIP plastic industry make its own way towards
its destiny.
Mr. Sheikh BabarBackground:
Mr. Sheikh Babar belonged to a poor family lived in Shadrah where the concept of
living is only the availability of food which fulfills their hunger and it was their
highest level of satisfaction. Like many poor families this family also had no idea
about the taste of comfort sleep, sleep without dreams of Monsters called hunger
.Luxury, the word that did not exist in their dictionary. In such miserable
conditions Mr. Baber opened his eyes in this family as a new member on 5TH of
June 1972. There were three elder sisters and two brothers. He started his formal
education in Mc School in 1976.
His father died in his early age. As he was a sensitive child he left his MC school,
in 6th class in 1982, to support his family. As a young boy he started job for Rs 700
per month as a labor. The income was not enough to fulfill his family needs.
Babar, an ambitious boy with a spirit not to die as a poor man, knew the fact in his
early age that he had to mark his goals and focus his efforts on chasing them and
hard work can be the only key to break the chain of poverty. Therefore he worked
24/7 but family condition did not change. So Mr. Babar waited for opportunity but
now he said that:
“I was wrong at thatpoint because opportunity itself does not come and knock at
your door, you simply create it for yourself.”
His financial condition became worse and worse with the passage of time and it
lead to the family disputes. He left his city and migrated to Wazirabad in 1989
where a new start was waiting for him, he start selling plastic wears in basket at
crockery market. From job to sell plastic wears he thought either his situation
would change or not? And the answer of this question was so clear that he was yet
not able to give food twice a day to his family .Due to his good credibility people
in market (Saith) respect him a lot, and the day reached when he seek opportunity,
a company gave him crockery of sixty thousand rupees to sell as a wholesalers.
“Opportunitycomes to him and he said welcome ’’
This opportunity gave him a new birth when he came home he had nothing to give
his family to eat at that night but spark of better future can be seen in his eyes. He
promised his mother that it would be the last day of their life when they have
nothing to eat. The next day he was not going to sell plastic wears but he was
going to some shopkeeper and present their dinner sets for sale. The shop keeper
refused to take these and said we have no space. He did not lose courage and went
to next shops at last one shop named “Karim cutlery” agree to buy these but on
credit and with the blessing of ALLAH three out of four dinner sets were sold at
the same day with a high profit margin and the shopkeeper was not only giving the
price of three but also the price of last unsold dinner set. Mr. Babar became the
permanent supplier of Mr. Karim. Mr. Babar was happy this time but he was not
going to stop himself. It was first step towards his destiny. Mr. Babar was growing
on daily basis; success seems to be in love with him.
He migrated from Wazirabad to Food land Gujranwala in 1997 and rent a shop in
Haji Purah Bazar, his family live on upper portion of shop and with in no time
again Mr. Sheikh was a name in market.
In 2005 another good day when he entered in a shop for supply, he heard two
ladies bargaining with the shopkeeper of the crockery shop with the words:
” we leaved the same dinner set with same design and quality butin less price so
less your price otherwise we leaved it and went other shop to buy.”
The shopkeeper did not give them discount and the ladies went out. But their
words act as spark in his mind.
The time slips and Mr. Babar ambitious nature told him to do more.
“It is not the destiny you wantto reach it is only the way you cross.”
As ideas are beginning point of all fortunes so, Mr. Babar went to Sheikhu pura ,
Daska and met with small producers. The reason behind dealing with small
producer is that he knew that only small producers can make customize products
for him. He ordered dinner set of different style with focus on extra ordinary
quality. These dinners set were sold quickly and the increasing sale of this shop
created difficulty for other near shops. Many other shopkeeper contact with Mr.
Babar and gave their offers.
Then he decided to own a shop of crockery, and purchase its own shop. His shop
created name in very short period because of unique design, variety of quality and
good communication with buyers and then also he started again the supply of
crockery to other shops but he managed that the designs were not same and
provide crockery according to the needs and specifications of shopkeeper. The
number and shops increases and create another opportunity for Mr. Sheikh.
VIP plastic industry a journey of success:
The journey of Mr. Babar from job to own VIP plastic industry is full of hardships
he faced alone. While sharing his story with us, He said that:
“You will achieve nothing without putting effort in it. No person will serve you the
plate of success. Yet it is possible that some helped you but at the same time others
are trying to put you out from it.”
In 2005, he bought a land and installed imported machinery in it to produce unique
Dinner sets. It was a very difficult task for him to deal with suppliers having
different demands. His name was famous due to unique, different and customized
products and then he was in difficulty that either he should continue his work with
the previous standards and earn a very small profit margin or loses his name and
quality and did mass production. After searching market he decided not to sacrifice
his norms and continued his standards. It was not the end of difficulties. He started
his work and produced quality products with new design by appointing designer
and different dyes but after introducing the new dinner sets design the competitors
copied his designs immediately and it was very difficult to recognize the VIP
product from copier for customer. Then for the solution of this problem he marked
their product with permanent stamps and introduces new design in market after
every six months. This business values create the competitive advantage for the
organization. Not only he introduced new design products but also introduce light
weight dinner set for the first time in the market .Difficulties in his life didn’t
destroy him but to assist him to realize his hidden potential and power. His
continues efforts fulfill his dream of life not to die as a poor. He beard all expenses
of his elder sister’s wedding and encourage his elder brothers to join his business
.Still there is no full stop on his struggle line .His growth level is continuous and
steady ,from one factory to two more without sacrificing his norms.
