1. Rough Edit Evaluation
Dance With Me Tonight – Olly Murs
At the beginning of the music video, I am going to show different footage. So
everyone will start off dancing.
In shot where Megan is being dragged away I am going to insert a shot of the
friends looking sad and then the camera will go back to being dragged away. I
have noticed that Megan is smiling in this shot and shouldn’t be. It is too
difficult to arrange to reshoot this as it will be expensive and the actors will not
be able to take more time off work. However, if I did reshoot it, I would make
sure Megan looks more upset and torn between her boyfriend and father.
I do not need to change any of the footage up to the whiteboard scene – ‘5
HOURS EARLIER’. This scene needs reshooting with a person wiping off the
writing. I want the background clearer.
At the part where Michael and his friend are walking, I am going to speed this
up without reshooting.
The lunch scene is too long and needs cutting. I’m planned with the shot with
the straw.
When Megan and he friend are putting make-up on, I want to change the
contrast and the brightness.
The window scene needs reshooting using a tripod so it is not ‘shaking’.
The scene where Megan is walking down the stairs is good but needs her
friend on it too – otherwise there is no continuity with the next scene.
In the scene coming through the gate it looks as if we don’t know the boys are
there so it needs reshooting. The girls need to look excited and forward
towards the boys.
The rest end part of the video is fine.
