The two main characters in this film are controversial
types of workers are being portrayed in this film.
To start off with, there is a highly paid business man that
could seemingly have everything that he could possibly
want. Although in this instance, money cannot buy him
happiness. His name is Tony.
The other character that is in the film opening does not
earn as much money as the first character. Despite this, it
does not hinder him in any way. He lives a happy and
joyful life and everyone in the community is aware of him
for this kind nature. His name is Chris.
Tony has a very spiteful image about him. I got
inspiration for this character from ‘Scrooge’ who is a
character in ‘A Christmas Carol’. He is very miserable
and bad natured towards anyone that is trying to be
nice or caring. This instantly makes the audience that
is watching dislike him.
On the other hand Chris has very calm and generous
characteristics. Although he may not earn the big
money wages that does he tries to give back as much
as he can to the community that surrounds him. This
instantly makes the audience feel comfortable in the
presence of his character.
The presence of the two characters I believe is
very well needed. It portrays the differences that
you would not think to be normal. You would
usually think that the person who earns more
money would be happier with his life. Vice Versa
you would also think that the person that has
less money to hand would not be as happy with
life. It gives across a representation of that
sometimes money cannot buy you happiness
and people that don’t have a lot in life give a lot
back to other peoples lives.
Tony is a business man that lives in a very
reasonable sized house. He has a prestigious job
up in the city of London in the area of Canary
Wharf. To get to his job in London he has to bike
the train station to get a train to work.
Chris is a pub land lord who lives and works in
the pub. He has spent his whole life living in the
pub as it has been handed down to him through
generations. He is also very friendly with the
people in the village that he lives in so may be
pictured roaming this area.
