2. OLD KOTAFORT
Built in 1790’s by first settler
Gabriel Lazaro Mangubat,
founder of lawis government.

3. Served as watchtower and refuge of the local, inhabitants
each time moro pirates attacked and plundered towns along
sea cost.

4. The fort is made of corals, stones, sand, egg white, sugar and
limestone.

5. FOOTBRIDGE
This footbridge leads to a
watchtower.

6. The footbridge that connects to a floating balcony which
enables visitor to watch the different types of sea creatures.

7. The bridge has a 187 meters length which was historically
built in a period of 40 days and 40 nights.

8. This is also the same place where the original watchtower
dating back to the moro marauders era where natives would
yell “Bantay! Bantay!” to oversee their approach.

9. A tower where people can also get up there to watch the
whole view and the beauty of the coastline .

10. You can have here the better view of the Municipality of
Madridejos.

11. #ICHERISHMADRIDEJOS
“The little alaska of the
Philippines”

12. Prior to the World War II, Madridejos enjoyed being the
“Little Alaska of the Philippines” because of its rich fishing
ground.

13. The park is free and you can actually come and swim.

14. KOTA PARK is also a perfect place to watch the Sunset.

15. It is just a simple park yet marks the history and the humble
beginnings of native Bantayanons.

16. It is also a beach resort that allows everybody to see the nice
view of the Visayan open sea and the beautiful sunset.

17. Aside from sunsets and sunrises, during high tide the park is
also a perfect place for swimming and at low tide you can
take a long walk below and beside it.

18. This has become a safe and good place to unwind nowadays.

19. The shoreline is spotless.
You can slither. You can
play with the sand.

20. Having a hard time?

21. Stress from work? Bored? Depressed?

22. All this results in piling up the stress and pressure, which
everyone understands, is not good for our health. So every
once in a while, it’s absolutely necessary to switch off a little
bit and relax.

23. And this is the perfect place for that relaxation.
