14. • Visit to Guissona (Iesso): we
visited the archaeological park
and the Museum Eduard Camps.
The village of Guissona is full of remains of the
ancient Roman city of Iesso, which was founded
around the year 115 B.C. Iesso means water.
26. LESBIA’S STORY
We saw a skeleton.
From its characteristics it was deduced that
it was the skeleton of a young girl, Lesbia.
We watched a video explaining what could
have happened when she died.
And we also saw a letter her mother wrote
for her.
Hello. We are Andreu, Roser and Maria and we are 2nd ESO students in Institut Aubenç. Hello. My name is Bea and I’m x years old. My name is Andreu and I’m x years old. We are 5th of primary students in Sant Jordi School from Oliana. This is our powerpoint presentation about our Comenius Project .
In this powerpoint we are going to mention the participant countries and then we are going to talk about the location of Oliana, about our schools and finally we are going to talk about our visit to Guissona, an ancient Roman city.
The countries that take part in this project are: Portugal, Italy, Poland, England, Cyprus and our country Spain.
We are from Catalonia, a region of Spain.

Institut Aubenç is our high school There are about twenty teachers and one hundred and forty-three students. In the school students and teachers participate in some projects. (read the names of the projects)

Walking around the park we saw the ancient wall and also the ancient watchtower.

We also visited the museum in the park. In the museum we saw a lot of remains that the archaeologists found in the park. In this picture you can see some pottery and a rider, the emblem of the museum.
