This document discusses new challenges that firms face in complying with the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II (MiFID II) regulations around handling large amounts of data. Firms must now record all telephone conversations and electronic communications involving orders and transactions, as well as storing executed orders for at least 5 years. This creates significant data storage and management challenges that firms need solutions for.
