1. Media Costume and props planning
This outfit is alternative as while it is plain, it is also stylish and different from
the norm. The light denim shirt contrasts well with the drainpipe trousers and
this outfit alone could be regarded as very casual. However the stylish, formal
shoes create an alternative feel to the whole outfit.
The props that are used are very simple as it is just a plain brick wall in the
background without any graffiti or any other props in the shot.

2. This outfit expresses both casual and formal. It could be worn to
an informal occasion or acceptable at a formal occasion (Apart
from the shoes). This mixture would work well for a member of
an indie band. The five o clock shadow, which the model has, is
also acceptable to compliment both formal and informal clothes.
The props that have been used in this shot is a staircase, where
the model is sitting. This could imply that he is “on his way up”
which could be interpreted as him climbing the career ladder. In
contrast his posture sitting on the stairs appears to be laid back
and one of a very casual nature.
The models in this shot are giving very mixed messages through their costumes.
One is wearing very formal trousers and shoes, while the other is wearing more
casual trousers but formal shoes. Both are wearing t shirts and v neck jumpers
which are casual wear with duffel coats over, also casual. Therefore the mixture
of clothing gives both a formal and casual appearance.
The props in this scene are clever as they show both men “waiting” for
something. One man is reading which could suggest that they are both waiting
for good careers to develop as the book could suggest that they are studying to
further their careers.

3. The costumes worn by the four people in this shot
are very mixed. The man second from the left looks
formal as he is wearing a shirt, suit and formal shoes.
The other three however, are dressed in a far more
casual way with open neck shirts and casual coats. In
contrast, all four are wearing formal shoes. The
hairstyles of each person are very casual. The props
used support the notion that this is intended as a
casual, relaxed shot as we can see trees and water in
the background, which connotes a feeling of leisure and relaxation.
