The Letea Forest is located in northern part of the Danube Delta, near the village of Letea. It is the northernmost subtropical forest in Europe, covering around 3,200 hectares. Letea Forest is one of the few natural wonders that has survived the invasion of the modern world, and it has been Romania's oldest natural reserve since 1938.
