PRESENT PROGRESSIVE (CONTINUOUS) TENSE
FORMATION:
am/is/are + -ing form
ex.) am thinking, is checking, are conducting
USE: 1. Generally associated with “right now “action. It is also used to express an action in the extended
present (these days, this year, nowadays.
Ex.) The teacher is teaching them.
Indonesia is exporting Batik clothes this year.
2. To express a definite plan for the future.
Ex.) I am going to visit the doctor tomorrow.
3. To ask questions indicating an action happening now.
Ex.) Are you leaving now?
