First, a few warm-up exercises to get your
creative energy flowing. So grab some
paper and a pen.

Warm-Up #1: Descriptive Colors
Look around and notice the
colors you see. Write down
several of the colors using descriptive names
(at least one adjective – preferably two or three).
Pretend that you’re naming a new crayon, paint color,
or shade of nail polish. (For example, the kitchen towels
are bright, fresh, mint green.)

Visioning Exercise #1: The IF Game
This is another round of sentence completion. The same
guidelines apply here. Remember, go with whatever first
pops into your mind. Relax, loosen up, and see what
comes to mind.

• If I didn’t have to prove that I was good enough

Visioning Exercise #2: Just Three Things
Don’t skip this. Rest assured that you can indeed come up
with 3 things for each. No answer is off limits or too silly or
too ordinary or “too” anything.
• 3 things I’m really happy with in my life right now
• 3 business activities that allow me to completely lose
track of time when I’m doing them
• When I think of having my successful business, these 3
things come to mind

Visioning Exercise #3: The Interview Game
Imagine that it’s the future. You’re standing in line at the
store and you pick up the latest copy of your favorite
magazine. Guess who’s on the cover? YOU!
• What do your readers most want to know?
• What do YOU want to share with them about
your journey and your plans?
Write as much detail as you can.
Let go and be bold!

Visioning Exercise #4: Your Ideal Day
Visualize that you are walking through a typical day in
your ideal life.
Describe what you see in your mind’s eye and avoid
thinking too much.
Start with waking up and walk through the day until you
go to bed at night.
This is a fantasy, so don’t be afraid to dream big.
Write to your heart’s content.
Make your ideal truly IDEAL.
