Close to 70% of all vehicles in sub-Saharan Africa are registered in Nigeria, South Africa, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Kenya. Nigeria has the highest number of total vehicles at 12.5 million, followed by South Africa at 9.6 million, while Kenya and the DRC each have between 1 and 2 million vehicles. The document provides data on the total number of vehicles and motorization rates for these top four countries in sub-Saharan Africa for measuring vehicle growth.
