The student created an Excel game about animals with 16 pictures to test identification. Formulas like merge cells and freeze cells were used in the title. An IF statement checked if answers were correct or wrong. Conditional formatting changed cell colors to indicate right or wrong answers. For improvement, the student would change to a less easy topic like fish, add more pictures for more challenge, and include clues or hints to help players get closer to right answers.

My excel game was about animals it was successful because all the formulas went right.
The games consisted on putting a minimum of 16 pictures of a topic and test another person to
see if they know what they are. But for all this game to happen we needed to do all types of
formulas. Except the one of count if, this formula went wrong because it didn’t count right the
number of times that “correct “was in the page. There were 16 pictures of animals and all of
them said correct but the formula said the there was only 13 right.
In the title there was lots of formulas such as merge cells which made a lot of cells into
one cell, there was also freeze cells which made a group of cells to not move even if you go
lower of higher in the spreadsheet. I also needed to learn the if statement. I used this statement to
see if the word they put it was correct or wrong. The if statement I use looked like this
=if(b3=”elephant”, ”right”, “wrong) so if the person writes elephant in the row 3 and the column
b it will say right. There was also a really cool format called conditional formatting in this format
we could put new rules into a certain space on the spreadsheet. I use this to make the color
change when the answer was correct or wrong. If the answer was wrong it would change to red
and if it was right it would change to green.
If I could do the game again I would change topic I think that animals is a good topic but
it is too easy. I would change it to maybe just fish different types of fish. Maybe more pictures
because just 16 pictures is too little. The people would think that it is like a waste of time to just
see things you know. I think that an alternative way of making the quiz easier to play is to have
some clues of the pictures or have some hipper links to some magazines to have more
information. Also if you are close to the word that is the answer to make a close sign so you try
better. Also have some format cells in the pictures or in the cells that says right or wrong.
