To secure a challenging position where I can effectively contribute my skills as an engineer,
possessing competent Technical and Managerial skills. Willing to work in challenging environment with
creative people who will help me to utilize my potential & explore myself fully.
Educational Qualification:
Degree University/ Board Year %age Class
M.Tech (Machine design) NIT kurukshetra 2013 81.81 First class
B.E. (Mechanical) Pune University 2010 62.53 First class
Work experience - 1:
Current Company: Working at : Siemens PLM software.
Employer : Prescient technologies.
Tenure : 21 January 2014 to till date.( 1 Year and 8 Months approximatly)
Designation : Software Engineer
Role and Responsibilities
To understand the project requirements, finding out the solution without making regression in existing code
and to ensure legacy support and performance. To understand the code and framework of existing features.
Analyze, design and build technical solutions for existing bugs in code. To ensure the reliability of software
for any new code changes made. Prioritize given task depending on the need and various aspects. Play role of
mentor for new joiner.
Projects Handled:
Renew of Feature:
The purpose of “renew” is to cause a legacy feature to recomputed using the current version of feature code –
effectively “recreate” the feature in current version of NX. The current version of feature code may contain
enhancements to algorithms that produce geometry to improve speed or accuracy. The current version may also
have a different topology labelling scheme, new options, or other substantive changes to feature data, and as
such after renew a feature may be substantially different than prior to renew.
Enhance Product Interface Usability
This project contained following main tasks,
1. Enhancing Product Interface dialog with Selection Intent which is repackaging existing Product
Interface dialog to behave as if it is having Selection Intent.
2. 2. Enhancing Product interface select service which allows user to select PI objects for creating linked
objects.
In UI dialog enhancement task selection intent is enabled which will provide user to select the entities
with various selection rules like single entity rule, connected entity rule, tangent rule etc.
The select service PI is exposed to various other feature such as wave geometry linker (WGL) and wave
interface linker. With this projects now user can select PI object for creating linked entities.
Feature Analytics and Diagnostics
This project aims to improve tools used to diagnose version up failures and comparing geometry deviation. It
aims to consolidate few existing tools used to analyse geometrical output of feature. This feature will help to
improve the productivity and quality of product. It will help to determine the culprit feature for any failure.
This will also reduce the developer time since problem will be correctly assign to the culprit feature owner.
Work experience - 2:
Name of company: Premier seals India PVT.LTD.
Tenure : 1 year, 4 months.
Designation : Tool designer.
Role and Responsibilities
Design and develop “die” for a rubber product as per industrial requirements. Modelling is carried out by using
3D Modelling software such as Unigraphics and CATIA.
Academic Project and Dissertation:
Post-graduation Dissertation:
Title: Linear and nonlinear analysis of plain and elliptical journal bearings lubricated with couple stress fluid.
Description:
The aim of the dissertation is, to analyse the stability and trajectory of a journal (Shaft) rolling inside the
bearing surface using MATLAB code for various working conditions. Working conditions is influenced by
three factors namely, eccentricity, type of lubricant and shape of bearing. Mathematical equation is derived for
lubricant and other bearing characteristics. Discretised the fluid film and applied appropriate boundary
conditions to calculating the pressure at each node in the form of equation. In order to derive the pressure
equations at a node is done by using Finite Difference formulation. These equations are solved simultaneously
to get the pressure distribution. Further bearing characteristics are determined. the linear response of journal
bearing systems two linear equations of motion are derived and solved simultaneously by numerical integration
method. Solution of these equations gives locus of moving journal center and trajectories are plotted with the
help of computer program.
3. Graduation Project:
Title: Design and manufacturing of Special purpose machine for tube end buffing.
Description:
The aim of the project is to design and manufacture a machine for surface cleaning and rust removal of tube
end. These tubes are further used for boilers & economizers. This machine is basically designed and
manufactured to improve quality of buffing, to reduce machine cycle time & to secure safety of operator.
Hence we successfully designed and implemented the machine with satisfactory testing results.
This project was sponsored by “Thermax India Ltd”.
