Play Dough Recipe
Ingredients:
• 250 ml flour
• 125 ml salt
• 5 ml alum or cream of tartar
• 125 to 185 ml of boiling water
• 15 ml vegetable oil
• 30 ml liquid tempera paint (adjust to obtain desired colour)
• food colouring can be substituted for liquid tempera paint
• food flavoring can be added if desired
Instructions:
1. Mix all dry ingredients.
2. Add oil.
3. Add paint or food colouring.
4. Make a well or hole in the centre and add water gradually 10 ml at a time.
5. Mix and knead with hands.
Note:
• You may not need to add all of the water. This will be affected by the humidity of the room
and moisture in the liquid tempera paint or food colouring.
• If the play dough dries out add a little more vegetable oil and knead.
