The hamburger was first invented in the 19th century in the USA as a way to quickly prepare food to keep up with the fast pace of life, where two slices of bread were used to sandwich a ground beef steak; over time additional toppings like salsa, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes were added to hamburgers, and now they come in many styles from heavy to spicy.
