Our second day in
  Buenos Aires
The Congreso Nacional is in
Buenos Aires.
Thats the place where
Argentinian deputies and
senators work.
Plaza de Mayo is the civic heart of Buenos Aires. Many houses
were built around it. The Government House, National Bank , the
Cabildo and the Cathedral of Buenos Aires, are in front of this
square.
The Plaza de Mayo is the place where all the historical moments
happened. Nowadays it´s the place where people make petitions
to the government.
La Casa Rosada is where
the Argentinian President
has her office.
The characteristic color of
the Casa Rosada is pink,
and is considered to be
one of the most
emblematic buildings
in Buenos Aires. The Casa
Rosada also has a
museum, which has
objects related to former
presidents of Argentina.
The Casa Rosada has been
declared a National
Historical Monument
of Argentina.
It is located in the city
center, opposite Plaza de
Mayo, on the corner of San
Martín and Rivadavia
streets, in the San Nicolás
neighborhood.
It is a mixture of
architectural styles, with
an 18th-
century nave and dome an
d a severe, 19th-
century Neoclassical decor
ation without towers. The
interior keeps precious
18th-century statues.
The Colón theatre is the most important theatre in Argentina and it´s considered as
one of five best theatres in the world.
The theatre is on 9 de Julio Avenue, Libertad street, Arturo Toscani street and
Tucúman street, in the heart of the city.
With excellent acoustics and modern stage areas, the theatre's interior design
features a rich scarlet and gold decor
Recolecta cemetery is one of the most famous
attraction of Recoleta neighborhood, where
many Argentinian people are.
