2. Last night Gary and I were taking a breather after
putzing around in the front garden when a little
visitor arrived.
He walked right up the walk to
within a foot of us – like we
were old friends. I named him
Harold.
5. And settled down for a nap. That is when Gary and I went to sit on the back deck with a
couple of drinks of our own. Then inside the living room there arose such a clatter (the
dogs were going nuts!). I came in to see what was the matter. When what to my
wondering eyes should appear…
6. …but a pigeon inside the house, sitting on my blinds. Somehow he had pulled
down the screen and decided to come in. The dogs were excited, the cat was
eyeing his next meal and Harold was calmly sitting in my dining room.
7. Gary tried to grab Harold and he flew back out the window to the porch where he curled up and slept the
entire night (according to Gary who checked on him last at about 4:00 AM when he came down for a
snack). When I got up Harold was gone, but he did leave a present on the porch (I’ll let you guess what it
was).
