1. Hey guys! The start of fall often signifies a time of new beginnings and a time to set new goals with health/fitness being one of them!! SO…. I thought it would be fun to get together and do a 5k(3 miles)! If you are not a runner, it is ok, you
can also walk the 5k. The MonsterDash is on Oct 27th in MPLS and is a fun run to do. The registration fee is 34.99. I have attached the registration link below. In addition, I have also added a 6 week beginner program for those who are
new to running and want to sign up for the monster dash 5k!

**Mark your calendar! Start this program the week of September 17th, finishing the week of
Oct 22nd with race day on Sat Oct 27th!
**If you already run and find the program is too easy for you, add sprint work/inertvals in you
training to help you become faster!

**One of the coaches from Crossfitmn is a mobility guru…He really knows his stuff. He has
great info on his website when it comes to fitness and mobility. I have added the link above f
or a great stretch that I think anyone who sits should do before starting their daily evercise.
ALSO………NUTRITION!
I am not an expert in nutrition, but I do know the nuts and bolts of nutrition and I read up on it. Believe me, there is a ton of information when it comes to health and nutrition and it can be overwhelming. I don't think there is one set way to
eat, but there are foods that are healthier and some that are not. I tend to follow the Paleo way of eating, but have modified it here and there to my liking (added in some less inflammatory grains). if you want more information on it, you
can ask me or view the following links on it.

I am not as familiar with a vegetarian/vegan diet, but I do know a few people that have been really successful on it and I can get you in contact with them if that is something you are interested in.
If this it too much, just start off with limiting your sugar consumption….that means also reading your food label as sugar is often added into a ton of food products.
If anything, do one thing at a time and make short term SMART goals, you are more likely to be successful in you health journey!
Let me know if you want individuals fitness plans as well. I got certified this summer!
Hope this helps,
Lacey
