3. Judges 3:1-2
1 Now these are the nations which the LORD left,
that He might test Israel by them, that is, all who had
not known any of the wars in Canaan 2 (this was
only so that the generations of the children of Israel
might be taught to know war, at least those who had
not formerly known it)
6. You have been Appointed
John 15:16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you
and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit,
and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you
ask the Father in My name He may give you.
7. You have been Anointed
1 John 2;20 But you have been anointed by the Holy
One, and you all have knowledge.
8. By My Spirit
Mat 12:44 Then he says, 'I will return to my house
from which I came.' And when he comes, he finds
it empty, swept, and put in order.
Gen 1:2 The earth was without form, and void;
and darkness was on the face of the deep. And
the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the
waters.
Adrian Rogers told a story about a woodpecker pecking on a tree. In the middle of his pecking, a bolt of lightning hit that tree, splitting it right down the middle. The woodpecker backed off, surveyed the situation, and flew away. Later that day he returned with nine other woodpeckers. Proudly he said, "There it is, gentlemen. Right there. That's what I did."
The first question of the 350-year-old Westminster Shorter Catechism asks: "What is the chief end of man?" The answer: "Man's chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.
Through you the Spirit will create order. Your work can bring God’s kingdom even when all you do is help put things in order and create a healthy clean environment for people to live and work in.
If tomorrow you were going on a mission trip or an outreach what would you be doing today? Would you be praying perhaps having a prayer gathering with others? Well you are going on a missions trip tomorrow.
2Co 10:5 We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.
