I met up with Carly and discussed what we felt would be the
best costumes, hair and make up to convey the ideas behind
both the video and the song. These are the results:

Scared Carly:
-Scrappy blue jeans (every day clothing but a bit aged to
communicate that something is a little bit off. (carly’s)

-white top (to show a slight edge of vulnerability) (mine)

  - non descript hoodie (mine)
- (to cover arms to suggest vulnerability but also to make
her look as casualy normal as possible so as to unnerve the
audience with all the strange things she does.)
(dresses to hide away, inconspicuous and frightened)
-Make up should be minimal with maybe a soft pink lipstick,
nothing ground breaking or attention grabbing.

                                     (possibly something like this
but perhaps with slightly more eye liner to define the eyes)
-Hair should be restrained and neat but down.
-All make up is available from my own supply.
Angry Carly:
-Dark torn jeans over fish net tights. (to show damage and
darkness)

                                    (Carly’s)
-Dark black-netted top
(reflect the darkness and anger of the characters personality and
show a damaged edge.)

                                               (similar to the picture in
shape but made up of damaged lace and netting, Carly’s)
-make up will be heavy and black once again as if she almost
wants to prevent the camera from seeing her real face.

(like this photo but with out the lip colouring because I want all
the focus to be on her eyes so that they appear wide and staring.
-hair should be down and messy.

Childish/insane Carly
-over sized browntop (brown so as to suggest disscolouring and
therefore foreshadowing the reduction of this childish creature
into the others that have been shown.) (mine)
-Leggings (carly’s)

(innocent and simple but strangely so, once
again so that the strange things she does are strong contrasts to
her normal look.
- hair up in plaits out of her face (goes with the stereotypical
idea of what a child should look like, once again shocking the
audience by contradicting the ideas created by the way she looks
with what she does and the music.)

-with out make up (so that her face seems naked and shockingly
open)
