• Prepare or update your Will. It will ensure that your money is spent the
way that you would like to see it distributed.
• Leave a gift in your Will to the not-for-profit organizations and chari-
ties that are important to you. 7% of individuals leave something to
charity yet 43% say they would if asked. Today, we are asking you.
• Leave a percentage of your estate to your favourite charity. A legacy
can be more than a specific dollar value of cash; it can also be assets
such as GICs, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate, art, jewellery,
and vehicles.
• Name your favourite charity as beneficiary of a life insurance policy.
• Name your favourite charity the whole or partial beneficiary of your
RRSP or RRIF through your financial institution.
