Getting back on track with your fitness goals can mean
 many things, whether you are trying to lose weight or if
 you are just trying to get healthy. Regardless what your
motivations for improving your fitness are, this article will
  highlight several helpful tips to help you on your way.
Lifting weights is an excellent way to be fit. If you haven't
lifted weights before, you should start out with something
 light, such as a one pound dumbbell. With the dumbbell,
   do a set of ten lifts or reps. If you can lift the dumbbell
 very easily, then you should move up to a heavier weight
until you find one that provides enough resistance without
                         being too heavy.
When using a bench press, it is vital to squeeze on the bar
 inward. Doing it this way helps to build more muscle in
your chest. However, if you are going to do the close-grip
version of bench pressing, you should squeeze it outward
             as this way hits triceps harder.
You can get up a hill much faster on your mountain bike if
you lean a bit more forward in your saddle. This will cause
 your weight to shift and to be more even front to back. If
 you lean too far back, you will start to lift off the ground
and if you're too far forward, you can lose traction on the
                          rear tire.
One thing to remember when it comes to fitness is, don't
have an all or nothing attitude. Maybe you want to lose 50
   lbs and lower your blood pressure by 10 points in six
  months, but when comes around you've only reached
  half your goal. Don't give up! Every little bit helps and
  once you finally meet that goal you will feel good about
 yourself and that will make you motivated to make more
            and more goals to become more fit.
Start out slow and use a buddy when performing high-
   weight exercises. Activities like the bench press and
squatting can involve very heavy weights that if dropped
or thrown, can cripple an unwise amateur when it comes
to lifting. A bar holding 400 lbs landing anywhere on the
 body other than the arms can be very, very painful and
                  may even cause damage.
To increase your running speed, you should try to increase
   your running stride speed. Do not try to increase the
  strides length. When running, your foot should always
touch under your body, not in front of you. For propulsion,
    be sure to push off using the toes on your rear leg.
Strengthen your back to help end back pain. Every time
  you do a set of exercises that focus on your abdominal
 exercises, do a set of exercises that focus on your lower
back. Working out only your abdominal muscles can cause
        poor posture and pain in the lower back.
Staying fit takes a lot of hard work and information. Use
these tips to help jump start a fit lifestyle that will result in
longevity, health, and happiness. Using just a few of these
 tips can produce major results as long as there is a sense
         of commitment and dedication to fitness.
