• What is the film about?
• It is a film about the issues of race and gender
in modern society which causes these LA
citizens with completely separate lives which
collide together in this American drama film.

• What are the main themes of this film?
• Some of the main themes in the film are
poverty, sexism, discrimmination, racism and
prejudice.

• Who was your favourite character? Why?
• I really liked the police officer character when
he risked his life in the car accident to save the
woman who was trapped. Even though this
woman was the one he was touching in areas
that she was uncomfortable with, he reasoned
with her and got her out just in time before
the car caught fire.

• What was your favourite scene? Why?
• My favourite scene in the film was when the
little girl ran in front of her dad (the mexican
character) to protect him form the shooter.
This is my favourite scene because it was very
heartwarming how the little girl ran out like
that.

• Did you enjoy the film? Why?
• I enjoyed this film because it was interesting
and opened my eyes to the immoralities of
the American society.
8. In class…
• In class we discussed the conventions in the film 'Crash'. We
talked about the conventions of action films and whether they
were reinforced or challenged in 'Crash'. In my conventios
table below i also gave film examples of where these
conventions are also shown.
