2. The mayan
civilization began
as early as 1500
BCE. In the 1830s
we discovered the
ruins. I attend this
tour of the ruins in
late october. The
ruins are
uniformed blocks
that are stacked on
top to form the
structure.

3. The Mayan ruins all had the same lay
out and were similar in how they were
structured with the stacking of
blocks. Some of the temples had
rooms and platforms were the
mayans would use. The temples were
aligned with the sun due the deep
respect they had with nature and
being one. They are truly fascinating
to see in person. It is interest how
they made the temples back then
without all the equipment we have
today.

4. Many temples had to be rebuilt due to
them falling down over the many years.

5. Of course when they were rebuilt it
was a major priority to keep it as
authentic as possible and follow the
pattern that was already established.
Each block that was found near or
around the temple that was apart of it
was restored and placed back. Some
of the temples were buried under dirt
and plant life that will take many
months even years to fully uncover.

6. The temples are very magical in my
opinion due to how they were built
long ago and are still standing to this
day strong. The Mayans did not have
tools and other modern day things
that we need in today's society to
build buildings. It is breathtaking
walking up to the ruins and seeing
how big they are and how beautiful
they look.

7. We had the joy of going to the top!

8. I commend the Mayans for there
wonderful work of architecture in the
time of 1500 BCE. It has allow us today
to see the culture and give us some
insight on there way of living back
then. I would not want to change a
thing about the temples. I wish we
could find more and even go inside of
them but as of right now that could be
a safety issue. Maybe one day!

9. I highly recommend going to see
the Mayan ruins. It is very
interesting to learn all about the
Mayan culture and see the ruins.
This is something that you do not
get to see and or experience
everyday. The temples is a very
real part of the worlds history and
especially Mexico's history as well
as the Mayans history. You may
not think it is important but it is
to dive deep into other cultures to
help you better understand life as
well as others.
