7. Cliff Dwellings – Another type of dwelling for the pueblo people, constructed at the
sides of the mesas and mountains of the Southwest, almost invisible to the eyesight
blend it between the canyons, perfect location for the proximity to water supply.
8. The kiva is a subterranean isolated dark room reached by ladder through an opening in the
roof. The symbolism of the hole refers to a man leaving the womb of the earth. These
sacred places were always separate from the living quarters and very limited space.

Anazasi community build their homes with
close proximity to each other and share some
responsibilities. Modern communities are very
similar today, we interact with our neighbors,
children share school buildings, and in some
places a surrounding wall separate one
