I've focused my career on on high performance and clustered systems. Experienced in navigating corporate structures (e.g. ebay) as well as small agile startups (e.g. Softwaremill). Currently focused on making developing distributed applications accessible and simpler thanks to the Akka toolkit and Scala language, at Typesafe, the company behind those. Notable community / conference work: Program committee member of Java One San Francisco for the JVM Languages track.
