3. 100th ANNIVERSARY OF INDEPENDENCE
Year 1912 has been declared as the year of celebrations, for the 100th
anniversary of the declaration of Independence of Albania. As a small
nation, without arms, is divided in many religions, without sustainable
economy, no education and culture, unique literary and administrative
language, without the active support of the international firm, the
beginning was very grim for all territories, but for our good fortune
Albania today is 100-year-old, even with her little daughter Kosovo ...
But when the story begins in Albania as an independent state?
The answer comes immediately to 28 XI 1912. Vlora began another life,
were Albanians would not be "imprisoned birds," but "whistles" that
will speak and sing sweetly to gain freedom. The street of 100 years was
not always paved with laurels, we had many nettles, thorns, guns,
bullets, crying, sorrow, tears and blood. Freedom was purchased by the
Albanians with a very high price, the lives of people, who did not spare
their lives. A road washed in each palm of her blood and tears today is
filled with flags, people and roses.

We love the red flag with the black-headed with two heads, that
is our flag, that we shall live under the free, honorable and stuck
in the middle of the civilized nations of Europe.
The red flag of honor, that is crowned with glory and honor.
And to elevate the great banner of Skanderbeg, he held that the

together with fidelity, honor the love for his country.
The wept when he sat for four hundred and fifty years, that
Albania was extinguished from the list of free countries and

8. ALBANIA IN 100 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE
This November 28 Albanians celebrated the 100th
anniversary of independence. How much dedication and
sacrifice homeland at that time became troubled by the
patriots to make Albania the "lady of leisure". It was the
time when the Turkish Empire was in its last days and when
our neighbors to exhibit their claims to fracture the
country.
Elder Ismail Qemali along with many other patriotic
and significant migration in the country, took the road and
difficult task to proclaim the independence of Albania.
Many obstacles before they emerged from those who do
not want or do not care about an Albanian state, but they
went with determination, they were convinced that what
were doing was for the good of the nation.

announcement of an independent Albania was cut hopes that Serbs, Greeks,
Montenegrins who wanted to partition Albania between them. Immediately
after Vlora flag was also raised in other cities of the country, paving the way
to increase the government with Prime Minister Ismail Qemali Vlora and
other ministers known figures of the time.
Today, 100 years later we celebrate our independence with grandeur and
gratefully remember those who made it possible. Holiday Independence is
celebrated every year, but this year was special because it was the 100th
anniversary, a full century. A century full of events by different and
important for the entire Albanian people. A century where the road was not
paved with flowers and laurels, but we had more of nettles, shooting, blood
and tears. Today these streets were paved with flags and roses, was filled with
people of all Albanian lands, those lands where people speak Albanian and
Albanian name proud. Vlora hosted its sons and then on November 28,
except this day not prevent Albanian double-headed one, she traveled free,
proud flew on this anniversary.
