2. Project details
Chat Messenger is an instant messenger. In I.T. & software or in many other industries like
banking, private organization and in government organization messenger acts as a standard medium of
communication. In it Client connects with server i.e. remote server situatedat any corner of the world via
intermediate web server or through Internet. It requests to the server via web server & receive response
from the server mean while web server acts as a mediator in between client and server.
A web server offers a computer network to allow clients to make connection with remote server. Server
controls the communication between client & him and also keep the status of conversation or connection.
I had used the socket class & it’s objects and also the methods associated with it.I use the server & client
socket object along with it’s methods like methods
startRunning(),waitForConnection(),setUpstreams(),whileChatting(),closeCrap(),show & send Message()
etc. I had also make the use of swing utility methods
likerun(),runnable(),setEditable(),chatWindow.append(text),abletoType() etc methods.
So by doing this until I proceed up to the development of an application. I had also made the .exe file
using Ecllipse tool & launch 4j 3.1.0 beta2 software. In this way I change my idea into reality by applying
my honest efforts for development of this Client-Server Instant chat Messenger application.
