2. • We had decided to use a specialist video
camera to shoot our film opening because
the production on a whole would be more
professional. Generally specialist video
cameras tend to capture film better when
there is motion than other devices can. For
instance, a camera allows you to zoom in
and out better and it gives you to greater
focus.

3. • The video camera that we had used to
shoot the film opening had a
microphone attached to it, which
meant it was able to pick up sound
clearly from further away. This is
very beneficial for our film opening
because we have used various shots
such as a long shot and a low angle
shot, whereby it can be difficult to
pick up enough sound.

4. • Due to the fact that the video camera
that we used was relatively large,
for some shots such as the long
shot we had to use a tripod. The
tripod was useful because it meant
that during filming the camera
wouldn’t be shaky and we were
able to rotate the camera to a
suitable angle. Without the use of
the tripod, it could have led to
insufficient shots.

5. • When it came to editing our film
opening, we used editing
software called final cut express.
We have used it for cutting and
merging different scenes and
adding the opening sequence
titles. We also used the editing
software for adding music that
we have selected.
