Origin of the Snickerdoodle

Let’s get Started!
o   1 cup of butter     o   1 teaspoon
o   1 ½ cups of             baking soda
    sugar               o   ¼ teaspoon of
o   2 large eggs            salt
o   2 ¾ cups of flour   o   3 tablespoons of
o   2 teaspoons             sugar
    cream of tartar     o   3 teaspoons of
                            cinnamon

IMPORTANT: MAKE
  SURE TO WASH
  HANDS BEFORE
     MIXING
 INGREDIENTS!!!!
Step One
o   Pre-heat oven to
    350 degrees
Step Two
o   Mix butter, sugar,
    and eggs in large
    bowl

           +      +      =
Step Three
o   Combine flour, cream
    of tartar, salt, and
    baking soda in
    separate bowl

        +       +      =
Step Four
o   Blend dry ingredients into
    butter mix
o   After this is done, chill
    dough for about 15-20
    minutes
Step Five
o   While dough chills, mix 3
    teaspoons of cinnamon and
    3 tablespoons of sugar in
    separate bowl.

Step Six
o   Scoop 1 inch balls out dough
    mix and roll in cinnamon
    sugar mixture.
Step Seven
o   Place the dough
    balls on a baking
    sheet a couple
    inches a part from
    one another.
o    Bake for 10
    minutes
Step Eight
Take out of the oven,
  and allow to cool for 5
  minutes.
