Value shows the lightness and darkness of tones and colors.
If you add value (shading) to a shape you give it the
illusion of form.
Value is often used in creating the illusion of
a 3-dimensional object, like this sphere, by
considering where the light would shine on
the object, and where the shadow would be.

A form is a shape, that is 3-dimensional.

7. TEXTURE
Texture is how something feels when you touch it, or how you might imagine it
would feel if you could touch it.

8. SPACE
The illusion of distance and/or placement of things in a composition.
In a landscape painting or photograph, space is broken into three
areas:
1. Foreground
2. Middle ground
3. Background
Space can also
