Climbing Huayna Picchu is a challenging but rewarding experience. The steep trail up the 1,000 foot tall mountain next to Machu Picchu offers breathtaking views of the ruins and surrounding landscape. Hikers should allow 2-3 hours for the round trip climb and bring plenty of water as there is no source at the top.
