To create a book with a window opening, measure and cut out the desired size using an x-acto knife being sure to cut multiple pages at a time for efficiency. Then glue the cut pages together on the inside and outside using Mod Podge, painting the pages as desired before gluing again to complete the project.

2. Grab your old dusty
book and your other
materials.

3. Depending on the size of
your book, measure the
size that you want the
opening to be.

4. Start cutting the pages
with a sharp x-acto knife.
This may take some time
but try cutting more than
one page at a time using
more pressure. The sharper
the knife, the easier it is to
cut the pages.

5. Glue all of the pages
together using Mod
Podge. Just glue the
inside and the outsides of
the pages. You don’t
have to glue page by
page.

6. Then paint the inside and
outside of the pages the
color of your choice.

7. Next, I glued the pages
once again with the Mod
Podge.

8. Let the glue dry for about
30 minutes.

9. Once the glue is dry,
personalize the cover of
the book to anything you
want.
