Nautical emblem and na 85cm zipper ( white)
NEEDLES: # 3,5 knitting needle
STITCHES: tubular 1x1;“pearl” st ( check grid)
EXECUTION: (all the seams are sewn on the inside out).
FRONT: knit 30 rows of 136 tubular 1x1 sts ( the 1st 4 rows in green
and the next in white). Back to the green yarn again and start the “pearl”
knit (check grid) where on the front knit every even row and stop by
reaching every 20 rows. Then leave the stitch lifted open in order to
create a “hole”. Repeat these 20 rows 4 times then change colours to
dark blue and knit only 3 rows of 20. Change to white and knit 4 and a
half of 20 rows. It takes 140 rows up to the arm hole and another 68 for
the arm hole. Apply na nautical emblem on the centre (front). Knit the
back the same way.
SLEEVES:knit 30 rows of 80 tubular 1x1 sts ( this time the 1st 4 rows are
in white and the following in green).The rest of the sleeve is done in 2
separate parts which will then join together with the white zipper when
sewn leaving the “teeth” of the zipper to be seen. Knit the same “pearl”
st (check grid). Knit one half of the sleeve all in green and the other half
is knitted by beginning with 10 dark blue sts and the rest in green all the
way up 68 rows to the arm hole.Sew joining both parts of the sleeve and
between them the 85cm zipper.
COLLAR: knit a 12 row strip of 144 tubular 1x1 sts in dark blue.
