2. What is Cysters?
Cysters is a place where people of all ages suffering from Cystic Fibrosis as well as family and
friends of Cysters can come together for support.
 Cystic Fibrosis is a lung disease that currently affects over 40,000 people in the U.S. alone.
 A lot of physical and emotional stress comes along with having the disease.
 This app will allow Cysters to communicate for support and share their CF experiences with each other as well as
offering advice.
 This app will build hope among Cysters and eliminate stress and worrying from their every day lives.

3. My Cysters
Meet Carina and Rosalia Grace...
Carina and Rosalia are my baby sisters and
they were both born with Cystic Fibrosis.
 Both were diagnosed at just 6 days old
The one positive about them having CF is that
they will be able to support each other.
 I only hope that they can help each other
through the process and provide support for
other Cysters.

4. The App
Can be found in the App Store for iPhone users and in the Google Play Store for Android users
Each user will be prompted to create an account where they become a member and will create
a profile page.
On their profile, members can post status updates as well as share a little about their
experiences with CF.
Members will be able to find and add friends as well as interact with users from around the
world.

Online information about Cystic Fibrosis and what it is
Links to online support groups
Information about doctors/clinics in your area
Discussion forums where people from all over can communicate with each other about their
own experiences.
 Breathing exercises and other hobbies/sports that may be good for cysters.
Precautions to take if you yourself have CF or you are taking care of someone
with CF.
Walking for a cure- Information – find one near you – sign up and get sponsored.
Different charities and foundations that anyone can donate to.

7. Why it’s all worth while
Having two baby sisters with CF is not easy.
There are a lot of things you need to know all at once and a lot of daily tasks
There are a lot of precautions to take
Hearing the diagnoses was extremely scary and I would hate for anyone to ever feel that way
about a family member of their own.
There is always hope, never give up.
