Percent by volume
Definition: Percent by volume or volume
percent is a common expression used for
expressing concentration.
It is used for reporting concentration of
liquids solutes in solution.
General Formula:
% v/v = (volume solute / volume of solution) x 100
Another example:
A solution is prepared by dissolving
90 mL of hydrogen peroxide in
enough water to make 3000 mL of
solution. Identify the concentration
of the hydrogen peroxide solution.
Read and analyze the problem.Apply the
Percent by volume.Work with your group.
(by table)
What is the importance of concentration of
solutions in our life?
