The document provides details about a Harry Potter trivia night for teens, including how the game is played over multiple rounds and topics that will be covered. Teams of up to 5 players will work to answer questions covering all aspects of the Harry Potter books, earning and potentially betting points in each round. The winning team will receive gift cards and all players will be entered into a raffle. The document includes sample questions from 17 different rounds covering characters, spells, places, and more from the Harry Potter universe.
2. How It Works, Part 1
• Work in teams of up to 5 players.
• Each round has 5 questions.
• You have four minutes to work on each
round of questions.
• You do not lose points for wrong answers,
except in the final championship round.
• No cheating!
3. How It Works, Part 2
• For the final round, you will wager some or
all of your team’s points on your answer.
• You will place your bet:
– after we tell you the final category
– before we read the actual question
• If you get the final question wrong, you lose
the points that you bet!
4. How It Works, Part 3
• For example, say your team has 5000 points
going into the last round.
• You like the category, so you bet 4500 points.
• If you are correct, your final point total will
be 5000 + 4500 = 9500 points.
• If you are incorrect, your final point total will
be 5000 - 4500 = 500 points.
5. How It Works, Part 4
• Members of the winning team each get
$15 gift cards to Borders Books and Music.
• Every player is entered into the drawing
to win a Harry Potter tote bag.
