2. The passive infrared ( PIR ) sensors used in the security industry have reached
their technical limits .Since 35 years , the manufacturers have improved only the
traditional optics and the signal processing but NEVER THE PHYSICAL PRINCIPLE OF
THE OPTIC which can transform a PIR into a geolocator .
The advantages of PIR sensors are reliability in detection, low consumption, low
cost, easy installation. To‐day the weak point is the lack of information for Video
Management Systems ( VMS) or Video Analytics softwares such as geolocation.
Let us introduce an innovative PIR geolocator using a new and patented optical
physical principle : SPIRIT.
5. The 15 fields of view of the SPIRIT have been superimposed on the scene . The first event ( the car ) and its location is sensed in the field of view #15.
The SPIRIT transmits immediately the location to the Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) camera dome which points then towards the approaching car.
